I purchased this primarily for cutting meat, specifically for slicing steak (I like mine thick and rare). This knife sliced thru steak like butter. Now I need a knife steel, all I have is fine hones. Think I'll get one for my grandson for Christmas.

Razor sharp. More than happy the way it cuts. As with any sharp knife, you need to be extremely careful not to cut yourself. Recommend wearing a protective butchers glove on your holding hand.
